One person reads this inbox, and it's me. Tell me what happened and I'll get back to you.
To save a round trip, include your iPhone model, your iOS version and the app version (you'll find it at the bottom of the app's settings). I usually reply within two or three days.
Common questions
Is this legal?
The app warns about speed cameras whose positions the authorities themselves publish. It does not detect or warn about police checkpoints, and it does not help you evade enforcement — it tells you where to obey the limit.
Why does it want my location always?
Because warnings have to reach you when the screen is off or you're inside a navigation app. That location is used on your iPhone and never sent anywhere. See the privacy policy if you want the detail.
A camera is missing, or one is there that shouldn't be.
The list comes from the authorities and I don't edit it. If it's wrong at the source, it's wrong in the app. Send me the road and the kilometre point and I'll check what the published data says.
Does it drain the battery?
It uses location continuously while you drive, so yes, more than an idle app. Close it when you're not driving.
Reporting a privacy or security problem
If you've found something that exposes user data, mail the same address with “SECURITY” in the subject line and I'll prioritise it. Please give me a reasonable window to fix it before making it public.
The full privacy policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your data.
