To save a round trip, include your iPhone model, your iOS version and the app version (you'll find it at the bottom of the app's settings). I usually reply within two or three days.
Common questions
Does the keyboard record what I type?
No. There is no keystroke log, no upload of your typing, and no profile built from it. Predictions and autocorrect work against dictionaries on your iPhone.
Then what does Full Access actually do?
It lets the keyboard use the network. That's it. Without it, iOS blocks all network calls from a keyboard extension, so the AI actions can't work. Everything else about the keyboard is identical.
What exactly gets sent when I ask for a draft?
The text around the cursor — up to roughly 4,000 characters — so the model can see the conversation it's replying to. Nothing else: not your contacts, not other apps, not your previous typing.
Passwords and card numbers?
iOS marks secure fields and keyboards are shut out of them, so the keyboard never sees them. Beyond that, nothing is sent unless you tap an AI action, so don't tap one while a sensitive value is in the field.
It's correcting an English word into Spanish.
Turn off Settings → Writing → “Detect English” in the app if you only write in one language. If a specific word is being mangled with detection on, send it to me.
Reporting a privacy or security problem
If you've found something that exposes user data, mail the same address with “SECURITY” in the subject line and I'll prioritise it. Please give me a reasonable window to fix it before making it public.
